Car Pic's
(Plus Others)

Son Don's first race car in 1970 which was this Quarter Midget with a Continental
motor. He did well in this car for about 2 years until he outgrew it.

Son Don on his gocart about 1974. Has a "box stock" Macullogh Motor, quick
change gear box and ran on 10th mile dirt track. He was very competitve and won
regularly until he outgrew it and got too heavy according to the weight rules.

Coker family business. Converted Shell ranch type 3 bay service station we leased in
1975 and purchased in 1981. It was remodeled upon purchase into what it is in this
picture. Building still looks the same today. We averaged 5000 service orders
per year in this shop up until Son Don took over the business in about 1993. Since
he works it by himself, the number of work orders going into the computer has fallen
some.

Spook was our first cat and the picutre was taken in 1970. I brought her home from
the Sun Electric Corp Branch Office where I was a Sun Man at the time. She would run
around the house and act "Spooky" a lot so I named her Spook. She was a
very pretty cat with medium long silky hair. Sad story about Spook though.
Spook got out one night when one of our girl's came home from a date without her noticing
it and we never saw her again. I must have roamed the neighborhood every time I had
a chance for a at least 2 weeks looking for her but never found her.

"Blackie" the cat at about 15 years old. He passed away in about 1989 at
age 17. Blackie was really a nice gentle neutered male cat that was wife Gladys'
favorite. He had developed cataracts by the time this picture was taken and would
bump into stuff when he would get in a hurry to get to his cat dish to eat.
There is a little story about Blackie
that is a chuckle. We had a female cat named "Spook" that was marked just
like Blackie but had long hair. I brought her home from the "Sun Electric
Branch Office" where I worked at the time. There was a male cat that used to
prowl around our house that looked exactly like Blackie. One day when Spook was in
season, Gladys saw the male cat going by and went and grabbed up Spook and threw her out
the front door (we never let her out otherwise) and said, "Go do your
thing!!" Spook had a litter of kittens shortly thereafter which included
Blackie and Blackie became Gladys' favorite right from the beginning.

"Snowball" the cat was mostly "Earl's" Cat. He didn't like to be
brushed and had all of his "faculties" including sharp claws, so he would have
matted fur a lot except in the spring. He died in about 1992 at about age 12.
He was found out in the street one night when I was coming home from plowing snow about 3
am. I almost ran over him cause he looked exactly like a showball and I was about
half asleep. He had howled so much the night before when I picked him up, the next
day he couldn't meow and just made a gargling sound when trying to meow. I had to
feed him with an eye dropper for about a week and teach him to drink so he must have been
only 5-6 weeks old and not even weaned yet.

This is Tabbee, our present Feline. He is about 8 years old now and
is strictly an "inside" cat. He is not too large of a cat
and weighs about 8 lbs. He was found on the doorstep of some
friends (apparently abandoned) that lived "just barely" out in
the country. We acquired him from them when he was about 6-8 weeks
old. He seems to be a very intelligent cat but sometimes
tries to "run away" from his tail. He will look back and
see his tail wagging, bite at it and then run off somewhere and then
apparently look back to see if it is still there. When he see's his
tail still back there, he will take off running again.
